1. ATTEND the Town Meeting Regarding the Town’s Flag Policy and Vote to Fly the Pride Flag in June

  • SIGN UP FOR UPDATES ON THE TOWN MEETING. At the meeting there will be a VOTE to amend the flag policy. Only registered Ridgefield voters are eligible to speak and VOTE. We need a strong turnout. For additional info or if you plan to speak or write email us at ridgefieldctpride@gmail.com
  • Bring a friend.  Share this info with at least 3 people who are supportive of our LGBTQ+ community.
  • Write a letter to the Board of Selectpersons about why it is important to you to see the Pride Flag flying in front of town hall during the month of June.
  • Speak at the town hall meeting.

2. THANK your representatives for supporting the LGBTQ+ community.  Write a postcard, send a message or callInclude a personal story!!!!!!

  2. Passed “An Act Establishing A Task Force to Study The Effects of Hate Speech And Bullying On Children”

  1. Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal and Representative Jim Himes all have a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign Congressional Scorecard Measuring Support for Equality.
  2.  Senators Murphy & Blumenthal co-sponsored the Equality Act.   Both have passionately spoken out in support of the LGBTQ+ community. 
  3. Senator Murphy on LGBTQ+ Equality. Most recently, Senator Murphy spoke on the Senate Floor against a resolution aimed at bullying transgender kids.

3. VOTE for candidates who support LGBTQ+ Rights & equality for all
