The mission of Ridgefield CT Pride is to foster a sense of belonging for our LGBTQ+ community members and their families by educating, promoting awareness and understanding, increasing visibility, and celebrating our LGBTQ+ community members.Â
ABOUT US
Ridgefield CT Pride is a non-profit organization that was created in 2019 under the umbrella of the Friends of Ridgefield Community Programs. In addition to organizing Ridgefield’s annual Pride in the Park celebration (an initiative of the joint GSA clubs of the Ridgefield Public Schools to reach the greater public in celebrating pride in their community), Ridgefield CT Pride runs two monthly support groups that serve the CT and NY communities and does community outreach and education to increase visibility, awareness, understanding and acceptance. Ridgefield CT Pride continues to provide support to the Ridgefield Public Schools Genders and Sexualities Alliance clubs.
